CREATIVE MOVEMENT |
3 & 4 years old students. These classes teach basic
movement through the use of the dancers imagination. It
encourages rhythm & body awareness, while focusing on
balance, arm & leg coordination and counting skills. |

PRE-DANCE |
5 year old students. This class teaches basic dance
skills and ballet technique such as: keeping time to
music, balance, arm and leg coordination, rights-lefts
and counting skills. |
|
JAZZ |
6 years old and up. These classes will incorporate
jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, modern and ballet technique. |
|
BALLET |
6 years old and up. These classes teach classical
ballet technique, both barre and center floor. This
technique will focus on body alignment, arm/head
carriage, stretching and strengthening of the legs/feet
and ballet terminology. |

POINTE PREPARATION |
10 years old and up. Pointe Preparation is offered
during our summer sessions and is used to determine
pointe readiness. This class focuses on foot and
ankle development as well as core
strengthening. Pointe Preparation is a requirement
in order to advance onto pointe.

POINTE CLASSES |
By instructor approval only. These classes are
designed for the intermediate to advance dancer who
is continuing their ballet training. Pointe classes
focus and promote the development of a dancers feet
and ankles, while continuing their ballet technique.

|
MUSICAL THEATRE |
7 years old and up. These classes teach the basics
of acting and listening on stage. Improve memorization
skills, increase stage presence and preparation for
auditions. Perform scenes and musical numbers from great
shows! (Singing is not required, but absolutely
welcome!) |

MAT CLASS |
10 years old and up. This class will enhance your
dancer's flexibility and core strength. We highly
recommend this class for dancers who need advanced
stretching and strengthening to further their technique.
This class will improve extension, balance, splits,
turnout, kicks, grande jetes (split leaps), and more. |

ACROBATICS |
6 yrs old and up. (Must be enrolled in one
Jazz or one Ballet class)
Acrobatic movement combines tumbling, spring, limber,
and balance skills. Students will strengthen their
bodies with flexible, controlled, and agile movements.
Combining tricks in duo, triple, and as well as box
tricks will add further challenge to the student. This
discipline builds on a dance background at Allegro,
which allows the time in class to focus on the acro
skills. Either jazz or ballet training is an ongoing
requirement. |

BEGINNING CHOREOGRAPHY |
13 years old and up. This class will teach the
basics of choreography, choosing music, plotting music,
patterning and teaching skills. This is an ideal class
for students interested in becoming a student teacher. |

ADULT
BALLROOM |
This class teaches classic ballroom
dancing such as Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, American Tango
and Cha, Cha. |
